I believe the Conflict view is the most useful way to understand the media because it helps you understand how our government "shields" us from things that they dont want us to know in society. It also helps us realize how the internet even becomes censored and certain information get "feeded" out to prevent people of our society to hear, see, listen, and watch some information.

The Media is a many headed monster, like the Hydra in Greek Myth. The Media controls the masses and can shape the world into nearly anything they want, just by showing and not showing what they want to reveal. I never liked the media, as it is controling and corrupt. There is so much junk and advertisements everywere, alot of people feel closed in.

Based on the gatekeeping theory in the conflict view our minds are altered to hear and see what we believe. It also shapes us to be sensitized to the information we are given. For example, in the news we are always hearing about shooting, killings, and natural disasters, but when we hear information like that it no longers makes us feel "sad" because we hear tragic information like that all the time.

conflict because the goverment uses subliminal messages to adviertise products but not soo much that a normal person will notice without looking too deep in the commercials and advertisementss

I agree with Ian when he says that the media can shape the world into anything they want thats what makes it so difficult for us to get the most accurate story dealing with incidents that happen in the world.

I agree with Valerie on conflict being the most useful to understand media. The reason why is because people always see commercials on tv about internet speeds and technology. While scientists and other people argue that electronics ruin the learning process for children and they expect to find information instantly, if they can't they usually just give up on research.

I agree with Brandon that the media is even becoming a problem in the school system because of the way we have been shaped to learn using the media, and internet as sources without these sources most students wouldnt know where to look for information.

I also agree with Valerie with the Conflict view being the best choice because Technology is taking over people lives. Many people can't go with out any type of technology anymore. The media creates problems for children. For example, TV show will affect the way a child act in public.

I agree with Ian because the media only highlights things that benefit them and when it comes to things that make them look bad they try to cover it up by getting quick but not permanent solutions to the problem.

i think the best perspective to understand the media is conflict because thats mainly the thing that catches someones attention. Also soon as someone sees theres is an issue with people going back and forth then others are going to want to see and feed into that conflict .

I agree with Dyllan because the media can lie to the public to make them happy and satisfied. The media could be telling false information when giving a big speech to the people.

Conflict also makes sense because when you see on tv these companies trying to earn money for these people involved in natural disaster but you never know if they give all the money they earned from people to the people in need.

I agree with Ian , the media tries to controls the world in any way they can. When a world wide story hits the media knows exacly what its doing and knows exacly what its puting out. i feel that the media thinks people wanna only here the "crazy" stuff so were are deprived from the fact simply because its not interesting

i agree with branden, the media has really become a distraction in school, its also a distraction in are homes. alot of people belive the stuff they are told and by that cause conflict in there home.

The Media seems to have a strong sense of Celebrity Gossip and news, Political Scandals and the like, and World Disasters. People always seem to like the negative side of any story.

Doing the activity we did in class today about finding articles in the newspaper have changed my view on what exactly the perspective "Conflict" is. I believe Conflict view is the main and majority thing that people view. The thing that was mostly in the newspaper where about Obama and the new types of technology that cost way more than a car. Thats what they mainly promote and will forever catch the readers attention. Boy have the generations changed.

Even though i believed Conflict was the mainly thing used in the newspaper i also agree with Ian because Media is the 2nd best thing. if there wasn't rich and wealthy first then the Media will definitely fall second because thats the other thing that people look at and is entertained by it.

The media has an affect on everything and everyone lives because people can always connect. Like Ian said people like to hear negative stories most of the time.

The media has an impact on everything, no matter what the field is. It influences society and the sad part is the media is for the most part bias.

I believe that the media is becoming a bigger problem today. For example in schools we need media so that students can look up certain information because without these they wont be able to learn different things. Students need this resource because without this nothing will be helpful to them. Also eventhough the media has negative sides to different stories I feel like sometimes they exxagerate more than what it really is.

I think that the media determines what they want us to know without giving us the full information to basically try to make us think a little more.
