I think that the US will go though a massive social upheavel, that will change the nation for better or worse. The people want good things, and only negative things seem to be happening in the world. There may not be a "revolution" that is violent, but a social, national revolution most likely happen.
Egypt most likely will have a better leader, and a more democratic society, if they can get some one who is honorable in power. With the turmoil in the Middle East, if Egypt can be a beacon of hope for other oppressed countries, then they will be well off.
I think the United States will try to regulate the Egyptian government since they are treating the citizens unfairly and dealing with torture forms and the way they treat their members in society.
I agree with Ian that the Egypt will eventually get a new leader and have more of a democratic society instead of going downhill.
I think that things can happen in any country if the population is unhappy enough. But i dont think it will happen in egypt because if Americans and canadians take a step back and look at the big picture, then more likely we would have more freedoms than other countries
I feel it could very well happen here. The government doesn't listen to the American people. They voice their concerns about things and the government chooses to ignore them. I mean they are supposed to work for the good of the country and the people. They work for us not us working for them.
Like anything else society in America will undergo a change in the next decade. Its hard to say if the change will be significant though. However, I don't think America will experience a revolution anytime soon. Egypt in comparison to America is completely underdeveloped. The problems that they are having with their government and society isn't surprising. I couldn't see America going through the same kind of turmoil.
My prediction is that the U.S. will keep trying to run eygpt and treat all the people unfairly like valerie and ian said. I also think that eygpt will start to do their own thing and have a leader that will make all of the rules and stuff.
i predict that the united states will attempt to take over the Egyptian government since they dont really respect the citizens and have tortured people. they dont care for society.
